Wat Pha Sorn Kaew
Wat Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew, Khao Khor district, Phetchabun province
Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew was created on the auspicious occasion of celebrating His Majesty the King’s 60th Birthday Anniversary. The temple is beautifully designed with extravaganza architecture like no other Buddhist monasteries in Thailand.
Located in the district of Khao Khor, Phetchabun province which is best known for its beautiful mountainous scenery, the temple not only offers picturesque scenery of the surrounding mountain ranges and the sea of white fog, it also presents the impressively-designed colorful architectures unlike any other temples in Thailand.
The overall temple is decorated with Benjarong porcelain, tiles, glass beads, pearls, rings, silver, gold and numerous precious ornaments. No wonder it comes at the top of the list of Thailand Dream Destination.
The temple was given the name ‘Pha Sorn Kaew’ as it is derived from hearsay of the residents.
